Twenty of 24 suspected, illegal immigrants had N.C. licenses, highlighting a continuing problem that state government has been unable to vanquish, said Thomas O’Connell of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

It doesn't help when the state issues driver's licenses to illegal aliens, does it? Five gets you ten that the majority of those apprehended do one or more of the following:

1. Fail to show up for their immigration hearing.
   
2. Show up working at another job site with another phony ID.
   
3. Get preferential treatment to a legal immigrant trying to get a green card.
   
4. Get preferential treatment in hiring due to their protected status.
   
5. Get released because ICE doesn't have space to hold them, the crimes are not considered serious or some other crock excuse.

Anyone want to take my bet?

He just covered this issue plus CAFTA, the Border Crisis in terms of Illegals and reduced Border Agents, the damage and death being dealt out by Border Gangs (Illegals) and, right now, talking with two Reps (1 Dem and 1 Rep) about getting control of the situation. Next up - Discussion of bankruptcy reform (AKA aid to reckless, seducing Credit Card Companies). Need to take my blood pressure meds now or I'd write more. :-)

This is that 82 years of age [not old] widow again complaining how I had to take the drivers test here in N.C> and there were more Hispanics that day than residents of the state.

I had so much difficulty I left the first time and went back later.

Do you know what the problem was?
Though my husband and I had owned our home here for 18 years , it was our summer home, both our names were on the deed and all the utilities were in his name, I found one with my name on it but it did not have a STREET address on it only our P.O. box no. I finally did get ONE utility over in my name and the street address [we have no mail delivery in our development]took the tests, received my license and registered as a resident so I COULD VOTE.

Just tell me how a utility statement with your name and street address does anything to tell you who a person is.

The Hispanics had a few more days to use the identifications they had brought from Mexico [all at that time were Mexicans]to allow them to get a drivers license.

That's the ticket. Dems will use the Reps inaction on Immigration and Trade (And, perhaps Deficits) to attack and they'll win. No matter their policies have laid the groundwork for these travesties - The reps better wake up on this.
