Very interesting. I'm sure money is an issue for Schiavo, but there is another more insidious agenda at work, evidenced by the 'judge's' determination to see Terri dead.

How long does $1,000,000 last for somebody in the intensive unit care... ? 1 month ?? What does the cost of an ICU have to do with anything? Terri needs to be given food and water, have her diaper changed, and also hopefully be moved around a bit, have her teeth brushed (something Michael has refused), etc. I'm sure Ensure® and diapers aren't free, but they're not exactly million-dollar commodities either.

Forget chess. These two are about as good at high stakes poker as the prez is.

Gloria Allred does indeed practice in the southern California/Los Angeles area.

He would gleefully accept the extortion money just like the rest the money he stole from terri's trust account. Between himself, the judge and his lawyer, these people have too much invested in murdering Terri.

Doesn't his rejecting the $1 million suggest he actually thinks this is that Terri wanted? Why else would he turn down this kind of money? Not at all. I think he is afraid that her condition may improve and she'll be able to talk. Therefore, if he had a hand in creating her condition, he just might have a vested interest in making sure she dies and never has the chance of getting better. He's done well, so far.

I don't think it's realistic to expect her to "revive" and the fact that a one in a gazillion miracle happens once every eon is not really a reasonable expectation of every person in her condition.

Michael better take the money and run before certain bills get passed that will stop him from killing Terri.
