And the Spanish will be saying, look how easy it all is, all you have to do is roll over, and the muslims will deal with the terrorists themselves; this proves the Coalition of the Willing was wrong to bring democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq...naughty America, Imperialists, Capitalists and their Running Dogs!
But there's something missing in the fatwa story, IMO. And that's the fight between the islamic sects. One cleric from a sect of islam issues a fatwa that doesn't carry any weight with the other, and with a little bit of luck, they will have a bun-fight amongst themselves. The Saudi wahabbi will not be pleased...he was their favourite son, wasn't he?
(Mind you, if he's known to be dead, then even a wahabbi fatwa is possible.)
As for those of us who are waiting for an apology from islam for the atrocity of 9/11, nothing will be forthcoming until such time as every imam in every mosque in America that toes the wahhabi line PERMITS an apology, and that would indicate they accept responsibility. No individual muslim would DARE to take that upon himself without a decree from a cleric...if it ever happens, islam is finished. Catch 22?
