What is hard to understand is how he blew such an enormous fortune...in debt for $350 million, when he once was worth many times that? Self-indulgence is certainly part of his craziness...or simply lack of discipline. Totaly self-centered.

On this site it is inevitable a person will be attacked for expressing an opinion a bit contrary to the rest. Usually I don't take my chances on that one, but I will still stand by the need for a bit of compassion...and wouldn't Jesus have some for Michael? I thought it was part of the Christian approach!

Sorry. I'd far rather advocate compassion and Christianity for the poor young boys whose lives have been ruined than for the pedophile who is a monster, imo.

I think that is the liberal approach. I am a Christian, too. I believe criminals deserve compassion. But, Michael has flaunted the law, he is simply under stress. I have been under stress and still had to work. My son was shot, in the hospital, yet after a few days I had to find a way to also work and support my family. My whole body ached. It is called "Responsability." I will pray for his soul, but I will never condone his actions under the guise of having "pity" for him. He deserves what he gets. Let him take it like a man if he wants any respect from anyone.

If he repented.

Sooner or later, everyone must sit down to a meal of consequences.

No one will be able to protect Jackson from his consequences.

Jackson has been ENABLED almost to DEATH. Jackson will be forced to STOP his behavior -- it is up to God Almighty how that will come about exactly. Compassion, yes, but the real lesson is to see the consequences of a life run on self-will.

Matthew 18:6
But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Yes, it is part of the christian approach...WHEN someone is willing to face up to, to confess their wrong-doings, and to seek forgiveness. That is called restoration, and unless or until we--including MJ--are willing to confess our sin, to ask forgiveness and repent of that sin (and be willing to face the consequences of our sin...because sin always has consequences), then the "Christian approach" does us absolutely no good.
