Buckhead isn't a blogger, but the MSM seems to use that term to refer to FReepers and other posters on bulletin boards. It seems to be a shorthand way of describing anyone who posts on the Internet.
Unfortunately, Dan Rather's not gone from CBS. He'll still be filing stories for the television show that started Rathergate - 60 Minutes. But he didn't make it to his 25th anniversary as news anchor, which allegedly meant a lot to Mr. Rather.

Unfortunately, Dan Rather's not gone from CBS. He'll still be filing stories for the television show that started Rathergate - 60 Minutes. There are rumors that CBS will drop 60 Minutes II due to poor ratings. If that happens, he won't be broadcasting from CBS.

So you've got a log (albeit multiple posters) and it's on the web. Weblog.

I think it's a combination of igorance of the "blogosphere" and condescension by reporters. They don't think bloggers are "real" journalists, so they can't even bother to get it right. They do that with the military also, constantly calling Marines soldiers and reporting erroneous facts.
