Laredo and El Paso may have low suicide rates, but I doubt the researchers had accurate information on the amount of anti-depressants in these two towns that came from the unregulated pharmacias across the border.

I had a friend once who took lithium for depression. She said El Paso has a low depression rate because El Paso water has trace elements of lithium in it, according to her shrink.
