I think it's more insidious than that. I think leftists, Democrats included, are spiritually degenerate and many have been handed over by God to reprobate minds

I lurk over on DU quite a bit (yes, I'm sick). They've been struggling mighily since the election to get a grip on what faith is all about. Lately, I've been monitoring a monster thread there which launches off on the premise that religious faith, and particularly evangelical Christianity, is a mental disorder. They have no answers. To them, as Paul wrote, it really is the "foolishness of the gospel."
