I subtracted the acceleration of gravity (5.92E-3 from the acceleration of the sunlight 6.79E-3 to yield a net positive outward acceleration of 8.7E-4 m/s^2. You'll see from the article that those are the figures for a 1 micron particle. Givining a ratio of aolar accelartaion/sun gravity of 1.17, greater than 1 so particles in a comet tail are swept away from the sun.
For a earth size object the ratio is 1.63 x 10-14. less than one, so the sun's gravity is able to hold the Earth in a stable orbit. The effect of the solar acceleration is to reduce the gravitational attraction ever so slightly.
Which actully means that the orbit is closer to the sun (maybe by a few millimetres) than it would be if the outward solar aceleration was ignored in calculating from the orbital velocity.

Dear Oztrich Boy,
I would like to thank you for being civil. This says a lot about your character :) Your openmindness has earned my utmost respect.

Agreed, my numbers are similar. BUT your number is only for a second. You have to integrate this effect over a billion years, because IF the Earth was a billion years old than it would have been effected by this force for a billion years, RIGHT ? Take whatever positive acceleration/force number you came up with and integrate it (or multiply it if you assume it is constant in time) over a billion years using classic physics and you will be ASTOUNDED by the result of this tiny little force working over a billion years.
You see in order for the orbit to remain constant over a billion years this acceleration force must be exactly 0, highly IMPROBABLE if not impossible. Any other number and the Earth would spiral out of orbit.

Let's hope this guy doesn't do anything technical for a living. I would hate to have him do a safety estimate or work on mass-transit design or do a medical experiments.
However, I predict that no creationists will criticize the obvious math mistakes.
