Serbian Secret Agents Steal Fingers from Wax Figures in Madam Tussaud's Museum in London

9 March 2005 | 16:09 | London. Serbian secret agents have stolen fingers from the wax figures in the wax museum of Madam Tussaud in London, announced the Macedonian agency Makfax. The agents were assigned a special mission by the Deputy Minister of Culture of Serbia Vladimir Tomcic. Their task was to look at the figures in the museum in London and to take a small part of wax from them. Tomcic owns the Serbian wax museum and wanted to check whether his figures are up to the quality of these in the London museum of Madam Tussaud. The two agents decided to return with real proof and chipped off the fingers from the figures of Churchill, Roosevelt, or Stalin. The agents were caught “on site”. The museum will raise no charges against them since the accident acts as a good piece of advertisement.

Watched one of those British COPS shows once where they chased down a motorcyclist weaving, insane speeds, near wrecks etc.

When the cops finally go him to pull over they gave him a "good talking to", wrote him a ticket and let him go.

Here in the US they guy would have been tackled off his bike and maced before being cuffed.

This is another false accusation originating from Croat sources. Croats are always doing this stuff to Serbs.

'Has it not been funny, it would be sad. That what media in Croatia published, that I have sent two secret agents to take wax from some figures at Madam Tusseu Museum in order to compare it with wax that I use in making wax statues is nonsense, to say in the least. The official site of the museum confirms that there has been no incident of that kind at all', Vladimir Tomcic, assistant to Serbia Minister of Culture says for 'Blic'.
He says that the only connection that he has with that story is his appearance on one of Belgrade television stations. He then said to have asked his two friends from London to go to the museum and try to get a sample of the wax so as to compare it with the wax that he used here.
'I said, joking, it would be good that they brought two fingers. I said that to provoke our public to show interest in the statues that I make', Tomcic said.
'Media in Croatia wrote about this in an ill-intentioned manner maybe because I am making statues of the reputable Serbs only', Tomcic concluded.
