Sure Israel knocked out Saddam's reactor, but that was overt, kickass, in your face, use of open military force, by a country that knew that it would exist no longer than the time it took Saddam to develop those bombs.
Sending SpecOps deep into Iran to damage a very heavily guarded installation, in a very alert country, sounds like a fairy tale.
Now if you were to suggest that England has the assets to openly bomb that reactor out of existence, and the stones to use them, then you will get my attention.
I don't think for a moment that anyone in this administration thinks that the EU proposals will go far.
And then we will see what happens.
As for the other posters that believe that Iran is about to undergo a popular rebellion, please do not hold your breath. It's a nice thing to want to believe.
Isn't going to happen.
hehehehe
Doc
Today Tehran was scene of a small scale protest of Teachers.
Did you notice that?
The Mullahs finally cancelled the jail and death sentence of that famous university professor today.
Mr. Aghajari, today, was informed about the cancellation of his sentence.
That is some sort of victory of the student movement in Iran!
The Mullahs lift the ban on one of the most vocal papers named NESHAT.
it was the paper who insulted Khamenei and questioned his legitimacy and also printed articles on the Shah and wrote truth about his reign.
Most of the staff writers jailed after the ban and now some of them except one or two are free and they are going to publish the paper again.
Do you know this guy?
No? So let me introduce...
Mr. Ebrahim Yazdi
American citizen
Former Iranian foreign minister in 1979-80
Former Revolutionary prosecutor of Tehran and responsible for the mass murder of the best Iranian citizens in 1979, Including General Jahanbani, Nasiri, Oveisi, Badrei, Rabiee and lots of the Shah's loyalist civil personnel.
NOW
This criminal wants to run for presidency to save the regime from the current quagmire.
I think he is the Iranian version of Ralph Nader.
Iranian Ralph Nader ....LOL
No. What did you hear?
More than 200 Tehrani teachers gathered to protest in front of the Islamic Parliament!
He's an American citizen? And he wants to run for president where? He's got to be joking!
Hi,
Actually he has an American passports, lived in the US and received medical care in the past few years.
He is a close friend of Berzhinsky/carter as well!
Wouldn't you know it! I guess that's how he managed to become a citizen. I hope the Iranian people don't fall for him.
I am sure no body buys the crap the regime tries to sell.
This guy and any other state reformers who can stand by that onion marked flag has no position among Iranians today!
"The Chinese followed through on it and kept their agreement to the letter," said President Bill Clinton. "I'm well pleased, actually, with the way that issue came out."
But critics of the Clinton administration's policies toward China believe the incident is fresh evidence that China's commitment to keeping its pledge not to help Iran is questionable.
When Iranian Mullahs visit China they stay at the lovely Shenzhen Norinco Hotel
"See...I told you Norinco would come thru"
Cosco...when its just got to get there
"Dammit!....this Iranian T.V. is crap....can't even get Bollywood Porn here....at least Pakistan had Bollywood"!
Former MKO members call on international organizations to help repatriate victims from Iraqi camps
Payvand News
March 8th, 05
Zahedan, March 7, IRNA -- Former members of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organizations called on international organizations to help repatriate their friends from Iraqi camp.
Mohammad Nour, one of the former members of the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) who has returned home from Iraq called on human rights organizations to help those being kept in the camps, come home.
He said that many of those being kept by the MKO had gone abroad to find jobs or for education, but, they have fallen to the trap of the MKO.
Those being kept in the MKO camp are exposed to hard labor without getting any reward. They are not allowed to leave the camp and go back to Iran under pretext that they will be put to death as soon as they arrive home, he said.
He called on the international organizations to help the people kept by the MKO leave the camp.
Some 19 members of the MKO from Sistan-Baluchestan province arrived in Zahedan on Tuesday and were welcomed by their families.
Meanwhile, about 276 penitent MKO members who have returned home after escaping from the camp in Iraq, were handed over to their families, the Salvation Society head said Monday evening.
Speaking at a ceremony on repatriation of eight MKO members, Ali Asghari, added, "Most of them had left Iran in hope of finding jobs, but they were trapped by the MKO agents and later taken to its notorious Ashraf camp in Iraq."
