But Loy said there's no conclusive evidence that al-Qaida operatives have entered the country via Mexico.

If this statement is correctly attributed this guy should be out of a job yesterday. He is waiting for "conclusive evidence" such as another September surprise or worse. Probably figures that he will get kicked up the promotion ladder another notch when the country panics again. Surely no one would blame those in charge of our alleged security.

No, but there's one heck of a lot of circumstantial evidence to indicate such. I suspect there is much going on behind the scenes to roll up networks...
