I was talking about the few on the first page. None of the many on the second had been pulled when I posted.

I live in Arizona near the US-Mexico border, far away from NYC, and the view from here (ask any AZ rancher) is that the USBP sucks. That has nothing to do with the NYPD or the NYFD, two departments I know nothing about so can't comment on.

Also, it's mystifying why you lump the three together so why don't you explain that.

I was talking about the agency as a whole.

You have your opinion. Mine stands.

LOL

Most of us here in AZ know Gilchrist and all about the MMP. Most MMP volunteers are former US military and law enforcement. The point of the April exercise is to monitor BP response times.

It sounds like *YOU* are the one who believes what you read in the MSM, not Rush. Obviously you are here to repeat propaganda. Be advised, however, that on this forum you are outnumbered by the knowledgable, so the effort will be futile.

I know a lot of both, and they each know a lot of each other...the field guys, on the front lines, they're getting the wrong end of the stick IMO.

Okay, I'll buy that.

The bottom line is this: The federal government DOES NOT want to solve the illegal problem. And the USBP is an arm of the federal government. The lower wages paid to illegals keep inflation in check. Even the financial guru Alan Greenspan testified that if illegal labor were halted/decreased without a commensurate increase in productivity, the United States could not compete with the Chinese and Indian economies. So BOTH parties, Republicans and Democrats, want it to continue, hence they are sitting on their duffs. The USBP agents and "technology" are just props, part of the show that is being put on to fool the American taxpayer. It's all a charade. They government is stupid but not THAT stupid: if they really wanted to plug the influx of illegals it would have been done already. So I wouldn't get too excited about Rush talking about this now, so early in the election cycle. The chances are pretty good that this issue will die and fall off of his radar screen closer to election time since NOBODY has the political wall to REALLY tackle it. Unfortunately the border problem will not be solved during our lifetime.

Just record them, and then put them on your computer.

Unless that is illegal.

Its not illegal for personal use.

Rush was very fair in his assessment of the MMP's motives.

Agreed! I wonder if he talked about it more than this audio clip indicates. If not, he still made good use of those 5 minutes.

I heard the show, and you need to throw in a little context.

First he chastised the Mexicans for getting all worked up over Americans getting involved in the protection of our own borders, then he had a caller that thought the idea was dangerous.

Rush went off on the caller, and mocked him as a whiner.

Basically he said that the protest was a very American and patriotic thing to do. But I don't recall him using the term "minutemen'.

I certainly agree with Rush, and as you know, I also support Bush's idea.

I don't think anyone in support of worker visas is somehow blind to the problems of illegal immigration. In fact, I might argue that I am way more concerned then some.

The context is all in the audio clip. I let Rush speak for himself. If he said any more than that, I welcome any transcripts, additional audio clips, whatever. The more the better.

I also noted in #1 he did not say the word "Minutemen," but simple logic tells us that's who he's talking about and supporting.

Some of us have heard Rush talk about illegal immigration before, so that knowledge brings even more context.

Well....you said you had not heard the show, I was only giving you my assessment of what I heard.

I did not listen to clips. (hate hearing things twice)

Rush did not mention them by name because he just does not do it unless he wants to overload someone web site or whatever. He is way careful about that.

Sure, Rush is concerned with illegal immigration. We all are.

One time when my cousin and I were desperately short of money and I had a bald tire on my car, we "borrowed" a rejected re-tread tire from a small recapping factory just outside of East Liverpool, Ohio rather late at night on the way to our local primary-recycling-fueling depot on the edge of an abandoned construction site equipped with our universal-padlock-key cum tire tool and filled the tank and changed the tire thanks to the generosity of the work crew who had conveniently left behind an industrial rachet-jack.

Off we went into the night, singing the praises of free-enterprise and the indomitable spirit of the individualist, the newly acquired instruments of our good fortune carrying us over glen and through wood until we unfortuitously chanced upon a deep and unforgiving pothole worn thin at the edges by repeated and effusive erosion which at once sliced our now tread-slinging gratuitous foundation and shook loose the non-combustionable crud found at the bottom of every stale gasbag ever left behind in the search of newer and better horizons.

Alas poor Rush, I knew him well...

Definitely. It'll be very good to get the evidence they gather out to the general public.

They're going to need a lot of prayer warrior support, for protection from the "illegal-philes", drug runners, potential saboteurs, and the MSM.

Nicely done. And of course you are entitled to your own opinion. :-)

Like I mentioned before I haven't been listening to Rush lately, for reasons that would probably bore or anger most people on FR. *LOL*

I do like the comments in this clip tho', and I will continue to hope he is consistent on this issue.
