I fail to see the ethnic slur contained in her statement. Thomas is old and she is Arab. Is "Arab" a slur like "kike" or "Dago"? If not, what's the problem?

The slur was against the Arabs by stating Helen Thomas was one of them. Sort of like David Duke is a Republican or Zell Miller is a Democrat (the latter is really a compliment but looks to the Dems like a slur).

That's exactly, what I was going to say, where's the slur, old or Arab? Has the proper name Arab changed, is it now like calling some one an Oriental?
