the neo-communist, left-wing liberal insurgency's latest attack on our military

They forget it was originally HIS choice to join before the brainwashers got a hold of him.

How is this group getting names of recruits? Is recruitment information open to the public?
Are high school and college campuses allowing Vets for Peace to speak but shutting the door on Military Recruiters?

What, exactly, is "sedition"?

Same old military stereotypes from the American Left: that military recruits "are the refuse of society, too poor and too stupid to do anything else". How sad, but then ignorance is the hallmark of modern liberalism.

This is a strange story. Every day I get more informed about the left, their tactics and their goals.

Veterans for Peace has been working at getting into the schools up here in Maine to counter recruiting in the guidance office of the schools. What kind of people are these folks? When they took over the Senators office in Bangor they wore adult diapers in order to have the ability to stay in the office for a prolonged period of time.

Eric Peters is an anti-war organizer in Chicago.... He says some administrators think counter-recruiters are unpatriotic.... LOL! What could give them that idea??

They're allowed on campus to counter the Draft. We have no Draft. Toss these Hippies out!

When I was recruiting, the counter-recruiters were called Guidance Counselors
They talked more kids out of careers in the military and into the fast food industry than I care to think about

When I was recruiting, the counter-recruiters were called Guidance Counselors. Yeah, you make a good point. Liberal (unpatriotic) guidance counselors and teachers probably have a thousand times the influence as these "counter recruiters" do.

Is that even Legal?I heard of laws against interfering with a Federal official in the performance of his duties, and I believe a similar law was used to prosecute Scientologists who stole government information. It is doubtful, however, that this Administration has the "stones" to prosecute anyone, knowing that the Left-Wing MSM will surely condemn them for attempting to suppress free speech.

Everyday the left sinks to new lows to undermine the military.
some military recruiters make promises they can't guarantee, such as money for college or training in a particular specialty, and give misleading descriptions of military life.
So what if recuruiters do this? Car salesmen, real estate agenst, and most other salesmen say untrue stuff to sell their product too, and no one calls them and makes an "Anti" group against them.
Murphy helped convince him that he could go to college to pursue his interest in criminal justice, and that there was no guarantee he'd get his request for assignment to military police. For another, he's worried about combat in Iraq.
Worried about combat in Iraq!!?? Why was he going to join the military if he was worried about combat duty? That's why you join the military, to defend this country.
If I saw these counter-recuriters I would have an incredible urge to beat the living crap out of them for what they are doing.

How insane. To a certain extent I'm all for it.
Joining the military is a lot like getting married. If you can be talked out of it, then it's probably best you are talked out of it.
Especially people that want to join for the college money or some other selfish reason. I'd rather work with less people who's motives I can trust, than have to drag in mercenaries to fill slots.
Perhaps at some point, we'll be able to drop all the PC social engineering crap and work on the real problems that are so detrimental to retention, and let the military be a warrior culture again. Until then, I hope these counter recruiters keep those that can be talked out of defending their country out of the services.

Jim Murphy is a "counter-recruiter," one of a small but growing number of opponents of the Iraq war who say they want to compete with military recruiters for the hearts and minds of young people Who pays these people>
To: Pendragon_6
To be honest, anyone who can be talked out of joining the military by a group of leftist weirdos is perhaps better left outside our military. Much of the whining of late is due to these type anyway.

I couldn't believe some of the things I saw-
Talking kids into basket weaving courses at 2 year community colleges, just so they could maintain good stats for how many kids went on to college
The Military was for losers, dropouts and GEDs in their minds.
I have less use for Guidance counselors than I do for Telemarketers
