It's comical that in light of the realities facing us, you lash out at those of us who long for more widely distributed government (or at least a lever to pry on it with), then turn and insist that it's OK to collect authority in DC, so long as Kansas gets to pick the president.

No more ridiculous than those of you who would decry what you see as the collection of power and the trampling of states rights by Lincoln and then support it in far larger measures by Bush.

Notice the common theme here. Everything is relative to Lincoln, and that which is preferred to Lincoln gets immediately torn down to Lincoln's level so that Lincoln may be preserved without comparable fault.
