That is meaningless unless you specify a task the computer is supposed to perform and any other mandated software requirements. In general, software for pretty much anything you want to do is available for the Mac.

That is not true by a long shot. The Mac is VERY weak in the realm of accounting software. My company runs on MAS 200, a popular client/server accounting app, and Macs will stay in the prepress ghetto because of gaping holes in their library. We do NOT run MS-Office, and there are not a lot of good alternatives in the Mac world for the basics, and of course, these are Microsoft products.

There are a lot of accounting and CRM packages available for OS X. And that's just OS X. Need server side accounting software? There are high-end BSD UNIX packages available (OS X is BSD at its core). And then there are the WebObjects/Java applications, which will also run on OS X.

MAS 200 isn't on the Mac and you need it, and only it? Re-read my words "any other mandated software requirements." But that doesn't have anything to do with the software base for the platform.

You nailed it. For graphics/video Mac is unfortunately still the better/prefered but for BUISNESS/ACCOUNTING, TAX, WORD PROCESSING Microsoft wins hands down. So for the Hollywood elite Mac wins. For the productive end of society its Windows. BTW Rush Limbaugh is a bigtime Mac Advocate and they won't advertise with him because he is conservative. Had they taken Rush's advertising pitchess starting in 1988 I'm sure their market share would be at least a little ahead of 5%.
