I'm sure they have an Al Qaeda suite...."prayer rugs, dead goats, pre-teen boys and sawtooth knives? Just ask our friendly staff!"

I looked at their site and I can't find the part about Bush voters.

We're for diversity, as long as you are like us.

And we are pro-choice, as long as you choose OUR choice.

they are "committed to reducing the impact on nature by limiting the number of guests"

But if they were truly committed to reducing the impact on nature, they would have no guests at all. These people want to reap the profit of exploiting nature, while maintaining a virtuous [to their way of thinking] "environmentalist" front.

It also seems that they provide nothing in the way of services, such as maid service or telephones in the rooms, which they also "spin" as some sort of benefit.

I just read that site, and I'd sooner go back to Catholic school than that hell hole!

The freaking nuns had far less rules!

The NAZI’s used the same public relations strategy, just directed at different groups of people. It works great for the weak minded.

At the moment this is at a private company level when it gets to the point of government policy we have a problem.

So let me get this straight. If I pull up to this POS lodge in a Hummer covered in Bush bumper stickers, drinking coffee from a styrofoam cup with a Camel hanging out of my mouth, I'm not getting in?

It's actually a violation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. A private motel violated said act back in 1965 and banned a couple from registering due to their race. Their argument was that they had the right to do so - but the courts found otherwise. It was a landmark case outlining the boundaries of the interstate commerce clause of the Constitution. I recall vividly the analysis of the case one of my law classes. In short, these hippies have no leg to stand on and are in clear violation of Federal Law.

These schmucks are ripe for a nice little Federal Civil Rights Act lawsuit.

I received this earlier and called Ocean Haven to share my opinion of their policy. In case anyone else wants to do so, here's the number:

541-547-3583

Some other friends contacted the local CofC.

How many trees did they murder building their lodge? I think Earth First ought to investigate this rape of nature.

How do they ban beach fires, Oregon beaches are all state property open to the public, they're property rights do not extend to the beaches.

I followed the link.

A resort where YOU PAY to clean your own room. Yeah right.

Where do hippies get money to pay for such absurd resorts?

Visit here instead:

http://www.visitkalaloch.com/

My wife and I stayed there a couple of times in the mid-80s and it was great. Go visit First Beach, Second Beach, and Third Beach - they're beautiful. We were wading in the ocean and picked up two legal-size crabs. Iced 'em down, took 'em home, and boiled 'em up - yummy!

Plus they seem a lot more friendly than those Oregon guys.
