PS - to the poster who did not see the "no bush voters" reference. You have to open another window to see it. It is certainly there.
I went to their site and found the Bush ref in several places. It is at the bottom of the first page in bright red letters as well as in some of the linked pages.
"And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!" Mark 6:11 NKJV
The CRA of 1964 only covers race, color, or national origin. However, I think there is some argument that freedom of association spelled out in the Constiution could be base for some legal action. However, who wants to go eat granola with a bunch of nasty hippies?
I don't think so; the I-5 corridor and the trendy places on the ocean are pretty liberal. The last time we lived there (in Portland) our Bush stickers kept getting peeled off our truck.
The freaking nuns had far less rules!
Right! But just try to make that argument if your a Republican attempting to exclude any "interest group" that is identified with the left......you would get labeled a racist bigot, homophobe, anti-environmentalist meat-eater who is against civil rights, pro big-oil and works for the military-industrial complex run by Halliburton and Dick Cheney.
You louse you - your really a bad person....(;>)
At the moment this is at a private company level when it gets to the point of government policy we have a problem.
I know. I practice in front of a mirror. ;)
Now THAT'S a MOWER!!
I FReeped them. I called and weighed in on their policy of diversity.
So let me get this straight. If I pull up to this POS lodge in a Hummer covered in Bush bumper stickers, drinking coffee from a styrofoam cup with a Camel hanging out of my mouth, I'm not getting in?
I wonder if Saddam's chipper was O.K. with them?
It's actually a violation of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. A private motel violated said act back in 1965 and banned a couple from registering due to their race. Their argument was that they had the right to do so - but the courts found otherwise. It was a landmark case outlining the boundaries of the interstate commerce clause of the Constitution. I recall vividly the analysis of the case one of my law classes. In short, these hippies have no leg to stand on and are in clear violation of Federal Law.
These schmucks are ripe for a nice little Federal Civil Rights Act lawsuit.
