I dont think thats why some illegal immigrant threads get pulled. I think some get pulled during bouts of overt "racism" or when violence is suggested, things like that.
The discussions on illegal immigration are important however, specifically because of the feelings they invoke.
It is hard to talk about illegals without the anger causing a bit of name-calling (racism) now and then. Maybe Mr. Robinson will understand this and let some threads continue for awhile - this issue needs a good airing out, IMO.

Do you have any examples of "overt racism" that have been posted? On the other hand, have you seen the numerous allowed posts viciously attacking the pro-LEGAL immigration posters?
