What a shame. The Wetlands closing a few years ago and now this. NY is losing the great clubs fast.

CBGB's heyday was long ago. I've driven past it and they sit on primo NYC real estate. Meaning it needs to be converted into some narcissistic boutique or cell phone store. (/sarcasm)

As a life long NYC musician I can tell you that the music scene in NYC is DARD. This is just the final nail in the coffin.The etown is over run with Hip Hop bulls^it discos and crack heads. Except for Bleecker st there are hardly and LIVE venues left in town Our "wonderfull" mayor decided that cigaretts are not allowed in clube so that hut an already hurting business. What a shame this all is .I've had some of the best gigs and times at CB's over the years .
