Jury selection began today (March 7) in a federal trial in which a public university in Pennsylvania is being sued because school officials tried to have a Christian student involuntarily committed to a mental hospital.
Back in 1999 Temple University sponsored the controversial and blasphemous play Corpus Christi, in which Christ is portrayed as a homosexual. Michael Marcavage, then a Christian student at the Philadelphia school, complained to administrators. Temple officials eventually tried to have Marcavage committed to a mental institution because of his opposition to the play.

Gotta' watch what you criticize around mind-numbed, knee-jerk, robot-like Liberals these days eh?!
Soon, as this story shows, it'll start to cost them money.
What is the school's side of the story?
Hmmm...Bill Cosby's Alma Mater. Who would've thunk it?
If these allegations are true, I hope the school is bankrupted by the lawsuit. They deserve it. The school acts like a miniature version of the old Soviet Union; incarcerating students for 'thought crime'.
What was he doing that required him to be restrained?

Is this really true? Just doesn't sound reasonable to me.
MEDIA - A Lansdowne evangelist will not have to appear in court to answer charges of disrupting a borough council meeting. Charges against Michael Marcavage arising from an alleged incident at the July 21 Lansdowne Borough Council meeting were thrown out after a Feb. 17 meeting between the prosecutor and Common Pleas Court Judge George Koudelis.
"I had no idea this was going to happen," Marcavage said on Monday.
"They decided there was insufficient evidence. The whole thing was on tape," Marcavage said. "The evidence was clear no law was violated. The only rights that were violated were mine in that they did not permit me to voice my free speech during the public comment period, in which it was well warranted, considering the circumstances."
Marcavage was responding to comments made by Councilman Kevin Lee (D) in Philadelphia Gay News.
"He was saying his appointment to Lansdowne Borough Council will attract more homosexuals to Lansdowne. I was just sharing my disagreement with doing that," he said.
Efforts to contact Lee were unsuccessful. Council President Gene Wayne (D) declined to comment. Marcavage said he will be coming back to council. "It's just a matter of waiting for the appropriate time to speak on issues. I have been following the minutes via the borough Web site and obviously watching what's happening," he said. Welcome to the bottom of the slippery slope of "hate crime" legislation.
Marcavage is just giving the hedonistic leftists a good dose of their own "in your face" tactics by shining the white hot spotlight on their actions and not quietly submitting while the majority of us good Christians sit on the sidelines shaking our head mumbling our tsk tsks. Sad for us. Good for him.
it's true, this is old news, it was big news when it came out, do a google search for the man's name
While the people with the REAL mental disorder are allowed to walk free and spread deadly diseases at will.

Even worse. Too true.
