"A chief executive like Jeb Bush, who sees that going on in his state, who sees essentially what amounts to a kind of judicial lynching taking place, of an innocent person being done to death by a court decision, is under an obligation due to his oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution to move in and do something."

Exactly what I have been saying for months. When judges misuse or abuse their office through ridiculous rulings, then the executive branch just needs to say NO!

It is a simple question. Who will law enforcement personnel obey? Methinks they will follow the governor not some damnable judge.

Yeah, that's been my stance for quite some time as well.

The primary duty of government, no matter the co-equal branch, is the protection of innocent human life.

Save her, then tell the judicial tyrants to go suck eggs.

KEYES: And I don't understand--in Florida, you have a lot of people going to Florida to retire, you have elderly folks. If we are in a situation now where a family member can get a determination from a judge and say, "OK, I now have the right to let this person who needs care starve to death," I don't know why anybody who has reached their senior years would feel safe. If somebody has a motive to do them to death, they could find the judicial process, and put some judge in their pocket, and they will get it done.

I've wonder the same thing. Apparently it is legal to starve and dehydrate a person to death in Florida.... Do you really want to retire there?

What can you expect from Florida, a state that lets you keep 100% equity no matter what? Is it any wonder that OJ bought real estate in FL. It's his to keep. This ties in OJ and Michael nicely.

Thanks for posting this.

Dr. Keyes raised some very good points. This is the side of him I LIKE -- the rational, logical side. He has his critics, but it's a good thing he is speaking out for Terri.

Jeb Bush is, I think, under a deep, personal, moral, and constitutional responsibility. If he sits on his hands and lets a judicial murder take place, he cannot plead that somebody else made him do it. He has a position that gives him the independent will and authority, and if a judge is doing something he regards as a travesty, he is under an obligation not to allow it to take place.

Sorry Dr. Keyes, but Governor Bush has already stated that the Courts have defined his authority on this matter.

Governor Bush has already stated that the Courts have defined his authority on this matter.

If the Executive and the Legislative branches are co-equal to the Judicial, don't you think it is about time that they did some 'defining of the Judiciary's authority'?

The Courts are out of control. It is past time to start pushing back.

Florida Constitution

SECTION 2. Basic rights.--All natural persons, female and male alike, are equal before the law and have inalienable rights, among which are the right to enjoy and defend life and liberty, to pursue happiness, to be rewarded for industry, and to acquire, possess and protect property; except that the ownership, inheritance, disposition and possession of real property by aliens ineligible for citizenship may be regulated or prohibited by law. No person shall be deprived of any right because of race, religion, national origin, or physical disability.

Does the Executive, or any citizen with basic reading comprehension skills, need a judge or even a lawyer to tell them what those words mean?

Are there any bounds to the Judiciary's Powers to change the meaning of words and of the Law, in your universe?

If your answer is yes, that they, like all the three branches, are limited in our form of limited government, pray tell where you think those boundaries lie...and if they exceed them, whose responsibility is it to rein them in??

I believe Jeb Bush to be a good man.

But this is a time to try the souls of even the good man, and to test their courage.

So, you believe in judicial supremecy, eh?

Those are Governor Bush's words not mine.

GOV. JEB BUSH, R-FLA.: I will do whatever I can. I'm not going to do more than that because, you know, I have a duty to uphold the law. So we've looked at many options, some of which have had to be discarded because they weren't in my authority. And that authority has been defined now by the courts. So we move on from that.
