Then you have to believe nonsense to hold to inerrancy.
That is the reason there are so many different religions. Everyone thinks they have the answer by their individual interpretation.
I belong to a Christian Church whose pastors went through 4 years of college and 4 years of seminary. In that time they learn Latin, Hebrew and Greek and their studies of the Bible are in conformance with the original Greek and Hebrew texts. So what I believe is based on what Bible scholars have proven is correct by utilizing all of Scripture and not just a verse here or a verse there.
I have the same training, as do many others. The "literal" take on the Bible is in error on its face.
It is much simpler to follow someone who is an "authority" than it is to compare reality to misinterpretation of Scripture.
