Lizz Winstead is off the air at Air America Radio.

The brilliant comic, who co-created Comedy Central's "Daily Show," left the liberal network as a host last week. Word is her departure had nothing to do with the arrival of new CEO Danny Goldberg, the recently ousted founder of Artemis Records and author of "Dispatches from the Culture Wars."

"This was in the works before Danny," a source tells us.

"We wanted to take the show in a different direction," says an Air America rep. "We thank Lizz for her service and dedication."

Winstead couldn't be reached.

There's some delicious Schadenfreude in here somewhere, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Err America just debuted in my area. I listened to it for the first time this weekend. It was amusing in an Art Bell kinda way--lots of conspiracy, rants, tin foil and bullsh!t.

The only time Lizz Winstead was interesting was once when she appeared in a bikini on The Daily Show....or was that Beth Littleford? Oh well, shows you just how interesting it really was.....

Not very.

Fawn Hall

There's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

Found this on the web:
She married former Doors manager and Jim Morrison biographer Danny Sugerman (who passed away in January, 05). Early in their relationship they entered drug and alcohol rehab together. They have no children.
