I must say, this is pretty awful. And you have to give the guy credit for protecting his wife.

There's something comical about trying to reason with chimpanizees, sort of like leftists thinking they can reason with Arab terrorists. But this is really horrible.

When around critters, I prefer being the top predator. Depending on likely adversaries, .223, .270 or .375 ought to do the trick.

With chimps, .45 Auto shoulda worked fine at close quarters.

While I'm very sorry about the injuries suffered, these people were asking for this IMO. Apparently no defensive weapons, no one else close enough to intervene - And this in the presence of Chimps, at least one who had a history of violent behavior culminating in bodily injury to a human? Naive or totally negligent IMHO.

what amazes me is after 30 years raising a chimp, they didn't have the presence of mind, to not make eye contact with them and to immediately turn their backs and sit down. If they had done so, the chimps would not have attacked
