"Where guns are available, more women are likely to be killed," Searle said. "And Where guns are available, more women are likely to be raped and abused," Centurion2000 said.
God made men and women, Sam Colt made them equal.

"Given that they are almost never the buyers, owners or users of small arms, (women) suffer disproportionately from armed violence," said Denise Searle of Amnesty International, one of the groups releasing the report. Denise has found the problem all right. More women need to purchase firearms. See how easy that was?

Most of the wimmin I know have access to firearms and don't subscribe to socialist drivel.

"South Africa, famous for high crime rates, sees a woman shot dead by a current or former partner every 18 hours,..."And yet in Switzerland where there are at least as many small arms per capita as in South Africa, the domestic violence rate is far lower.
What if guns are not the common factor?
What else could it be?

"Statistics worldwide indicate young men are the main victims of small arms" "Where guns are available, more women are likely to be killed," Searle said."
Hmmm...something isn't quite right here.

"Given that they are almost never the buyers, owners or users of small arms, (women) suffer disproportionately from armed violence," said Denise Searle of Amnesty International, one of the groups releasing the report.Well, why don't we give these women guns, so they can dfend themselves?
They still don't explain why women outnumber men, and live longer.

You can bet your last Dunkin Doughnut their numbers are carefully collected. They don't want to see John Lott's work nor do they wish to hear of anyone, male or female, sucessfully using a firearm in self defense.

U.S. studies have shown that having a gun in the house increases the risk that someone in the house will be murdered by 41 percent, but boosts the risk for women by 272 percent.BULLSHOOT!!!
If anyone is going to get shot in my house, it'll be someone who isn't supposed to be there.

AS I remember, those who cry for the violation of the Constitution in anything other than the context of a call for Constitutional revision via a properly convened convention to revise the Constitution are requesting a violation of the Unalienable Rights of the rest of us, and crying out for what is sedition.
Suggestion: Try 'em. Then hang 'em.

Studies have shown that most of the 170,000,000 citizens murdered by their own governments in the 20th century were disarmed by gun control.

I went to the link on post #3. Surely they are only talking about 300 million 'Registered' guns in the US.

Ask the black Sudanese being systematically slaughtered by the Arab militia and government which they would rather have. A rifle in the hand, or more laws in the books.
Their answer should speak for itself.

"U.S. studies have shown that having a gun in the house increases the risk that someone in the house will be murdered by 41 percent, but boosts the risk for women by 272 percent."
Kellerman, a liberal proffesor, who wrote this study now refutes it.

I propose that Amnesty International and the UN give up their guns first in a sign of good faith.

Of course, this is the same UN that's being accused of raping women in the Congo. Just think, if those women were armed ...
