This is pretty silly. They have been working well together for the president for a long time now. I think this is the media trying to create a battle between Condi and Rummy. Note to media, Condi is not Powell.

With so many wonderful, liberating things going on in the world today, why do they need to make up "news"?  Oh, that's right, the whole "Organ of the Democratic Party" thing...

Though by most accounts she and Rumsfeld are friendly—they talk on the phone at 7:15 a.m. every day—the 72-year-old Defense chief may not be taking his partially eclipsed status very well.

They appear to work together very well, but for purposes of this article, let’s imagine they don’t.

That’s some quality journalism there.

According to the press and Senators in Washington, everyone hate Rummy. Well if that is true, what does it say he's been able to survive so many changes in Washington over the years and currently hold a very powerful position as Secretary of Defense?

The problem isn't with Rummy. It's with them. I'm not buying this latest feud they are trying to spin either.

Since he is generally regarded as "the dumbest man in the Senate" Rummy could not have received a higher accolade than being bad-mouthed by that schmuck, Joe Kinnock Biden.

Yes, it is silly. Condi is dealing from a position of strength...those invisible spurs on her boots are of Rumsfeld manufacture and I think she knows how to use them.

What pathetic Unjournalism! I couldn't detect any jealousies in the Rummy comments. Maybe because I'd find it ridiculous in the first place.

During the first term wherever Bush went Condi was there too - this article trying to belittle Rice's worth then and Rumsfeldt's service now is just silly.
