He passed away in 1986. I think his show was regional and shown only in New York on WPIX.

Thanks for the great link. I watched Officer Joe every day as a kid, often with my dad who was also a Stooges fan. One of my fondest memories.
Strangely enough, I was just thinking about him yesterday. Wierd how life works.
