Nothing is sent to Guam unless there's a plan to use it - soon. Especially a B-2. The big question of 2005: Someone is about to be bombed. But who? There are only three adversaries that would be targets. China, North Korea or possibly Iran.

<< Got to be TDY. AF pukes will find a way to get per diem out of this, even if they have to sit on the beach to do it. >>
TDY is Good!
The AF has no pukes. [The Navy and Marines got those (And called 'em "aviators") after we'd thoroughly fished the Talent Pool for all who are not!]
Per Diems are especially Good!
Sitting on the beach is Good, too!

I think they are for China to take notice, not Russia.

"Interesting. Could be just getting the black beauties out for a spin. Could also be things are heating up in Asia." Didn't I read recently that North Korea was going to begin testing some missiles again? If one of those goes over Japan again, I'd expect to see one of the B-2's over the launch site...HUH?

The base at Guam is close enough to North Korea that they are well within range of the Taepo Dong 2 missile, but still far enough away that they can get most of the craft in the air before Andersen AFB would get hit. If that is the intent, my intuition tells me that a portion of the craft will be in air, around the base vicinity, at all times, to reduce the time needed to get all the craft in the air in the event of a NK first strike. If that is the case, than North Korea will become a sandlot within several hours...
