I am posting this for those who wish to pay their respects to Chuck Thompson. His funeral will be private. I grew up listening to Chuck on the radio, he was a great man and a great announcer, he will be missed.

God bless him, I have missed him very much since he retired a couple of years ago. Chuck Thompson will always be the Voice of the Orioles to me.

My Father was a huge Colts fan as I grew up I still can recall the voice that was as much a part of the game as the Unitas, Berry, Mackey and Mattie. As time goes by, he will be missed but now he is calling a bigger game. May God Bless his family and may his memory be long.

I started listening to him on the radio in Baltimore around the time Burt Jones was Quarterback for the Colts. This was the last hurrah in Baltimore for the Colts before they moved to Indy. Chuck just had that voice that made listening to the game a real pleasure. His co-announcer was Fred Manfra. His replacement when he retired was Jon Miller who eventually went on to broadcast for the San Francisco Giants.
