R. Crumb was cartooning for the now-defunct Ceveland underground classic "The Great Swamp Erie Dada Boom" when I went to Cleveland State.

Cleveland's Harvey Pekar put out some good comic books. Pekar writes and other's illustrate. R Crumb has done illustration for him

Yep, I remember Pekar's stuff as well. But then I remember when Derek Hess was a bartender at the Euclid Tavern, turning out posters for the upcoming bands

that would be playing there ... I guess that makes me fairly ancient.
