"if you've seen "Crumb" you'll know"

I saw that. My jaw dropped when I saw his brother that still lives with his mom. These folks are beyond dysfunctional.

I loved his comics though. I bought my first one in 69' when I was stationed in Oakland. Still got them and a bunch of Freak Brothers, they're worth some bucks now.

Crumb's great, so is Justin Greene, but my favorite is Charles Burns, especially his "El Borbah" series.

When you look at the big picture, Mr. Natural sums it all up...

I had a nice collection of various original Crumb comics (including "Hy-Tone"!), some Freak Brothers and Fat Freddy's Cat, Wonder Warthog, etc....and some juvenile delinquents burglarized my house and stole them. The police caught the offenders and I got my guns back, but never recovered my beloved comics.

Those of you who think you've "seen it all" should endeavor to find a copy of Crumb's "Hy-Tone" Comix. Hysterically funny, but be forewarned, it's not for the easily offended.

A friend of mine, Brian Robertson, who now lives in Austin is a blues player and author. He wrote a book back in 96 called "Little Blues Book" and r. crumb illustrated it for him. Brian just called him up and he agreed to do it. You just never know. It's available on Amazon...
