Communist newspaper reporter Giuliana Sgrena is back in Italy and she is giving her version of the events that led to the shooting death of Italian intelligence officer Nicola Calipari. Calipari was riding in a car with the reporter after she was released from the Islamofascists that had held her captive when they were fired upon by American soldiers at a Military checkpoint in Iraq.
The U.S. Military states that the car was speeding toward the checkpoint and ignored warning shots and other various signals for the car to stop as it approached. The U.S. Military released this statement, "Soldiers shot into the engine block after trying to warn the driver to stop by "by hand-and-arm signals, flashing white lights, and firing warning shots in front of the car."
But Giuliana Sgrena is telling a different story.
The communist newspaper reporter for Il Manifesto says she refuses to rule out that the shooting was deliberate. "The fact that the Americans don't want negotiations to free the hostages is known," Sgrena told Sky Italia TV. So I don't see why I should rule out that I could have been the target."
She offers no proof.

They wish it was he said/she said. Truth is the communist lied and they were so eager to believe our troops are assassins they parroted the lie. The communist is so unstable she overplayed her hand and now they are caught supporting her.
"Communications Minister Maurizio Gasparri urged Sgrena to be more careful about what she said.
"I understand the emotion of these hours, but those who have been under stress in the past few weeks should pull themselves together and avoid saying nonsense," ANSA quoted Gasparri as saying."
I bet that statement left a stinging mark on her lying mouth!
I don't suppose we can expect anything different from the Communist news media.
At one point, she also claimed that it didn't happen at a checkpoint, but that the military chased their car. Wouldn't it be kind of hard to shoot into the engine block from the rear? Or was the car speeding in reverse?
Heh, thanks, it looks like the one at LGF...
The point is, if this is the car, someone is lying, and it ain't our guys. Agreed?
The whole Giuliana Sgrena capture and release was a diversionary tactic, used to allow some other fugitive to slip past the checkpoint in the confusion.
Al-Zarkawi, despite several reports to the contrary, is not known to be in captivity.
Assuming that the picture accurately portrays the condition of the car AFTER the shooting - then yes, we can assume SHE IS A LYING BITCH!
Here is the test:
A. the "Victim".
Accountable to no one.
Journalist (since 1990, synonymous with LIAR)
STATED CAUSE:-To further the cause of Socialism.
B. The ""accused".
Accountable to Chain of Command, Commander in Chief, citizens of the United States and Iraq.
Soldiers:Missio#1-To stay alive. Mission #2 to defend lives and freedom of persons in their vicinity.
STATED CAUSE: To improve the lives of those Iraq.(You don't do this by shooting non-combatants.
Conclusion:Same as Reply #2
We should be studying the video of Sgrena's captivity very carefully.
I always felt that Saudi deserter with the blindfold - seemed to be smirking in his "hostage" video.
Her phone records should be checked.
She should take a lie detector test.
She should be interrogated at length.
She should undergo a pelvic exam.
Does anyone have contact with the unit that did the firing or with units who have manned this checkpoint? It would be interesting to know if this checkpoint had concrete barriers forcing cars to drive in a serpentine lane.
That could be an explanation for no bullet holes in the front. If the car were zigging and zagging through the barriers (and yes, 30-40 mph is fast that way) it would have presented a profile target. Could be that bullet holes are on left-hand side of car.
Just thinking out loud, but it would be interesting to hear from someone at that unit.
There is someone missing from this story--the Driver of the car. Who and where is he and what happened to him? Is he alive or dead? What does HE have to say?
Wasn't the driver the one that got killed? Is it possible that the gun shot came from inside the car?
I'm still looking forward to seeing a picture of the car from the checkpoint incident.
The previous two female reporters returned to Italy after a ransom was paid and bad mouthed the U.S. and coalition forces and wrote columns about how wonderful the terrorists who "kidnapped" them (if they did) were. Makes me wonder if the Commies don't have a deal going with the terrorists to "kidnap" western women and "ransom" them back.
"Wasn't the driver the one that got killed"
I don't know. They said he was "riding with" the woman, and threw himself over her to save her. Doesn't sound like a description of someone driving a car to me.
The communist newspaper reporter for Il Manifesto says she refuses to rule out that the shooting was deliberate.
Aw, now we are really getting the facts from a communist newspaper. If I am not mistaken, they are on the side of the terrorists.
Bullet Holes? We Dont Need No Damn Bullet Holes!
Hmmm--crazy, lying, left-wing propagandist uses the
consequences of her own recklessness (being in Iraq
looking for trouble)to smear the U.S. How unlike
a liberal. If it wouldn't interfere with his own
comfort or prodigious feeding schedule, I'd expect
Michael Moore to be in a car speeding toward a U.S.
checkpoint ASAP.
