. . . for freedom can be a contagious thing that, if fertilized, could spread through the widespread patch of noxious weeds of hate and racism liberals and leftists had sown across the planet. . . .
This morning, as always, my email inbox was jammed with words of hatred and anger from liberals decrying the spread of freedom to those the liberals feel are undeserving; brown-skinned people whose primary language is something other than English and who wear strange head dressings and robes.
When it comes to immigration from Mexico and dicussions on Islam, the author could very well be talking about the Bush-bashing UberKonservativs as well.

The socialist left wants freedom for themselves, but none for anyone else.

Gunny,

Each time GWB's policy of freedom is proved correct, (the latest good news from Lebanon and Egypt) I find myself resenting Peggy Noonan more and more.
Noonan, you'll recall, completely ridiculed Bush's 2005 Inaugural Address in which he called for nations to stand up for freedom.
Where I once viewed Noonan as a smart sophisticated chick, I now see her as an snobbish elitist, one who seems to hate President Bush because he speaks with a Texan drawl and doesn't use big words.
If some liberal had made the attacks on Bush, I wouldn't have cared as much.
But when someone you once trusted turns toward the dark side, it is more devastating.

Engineers agree that a bumblebee, by design, cannot fly.
What bothers the left (RHIOs Included), is that Bush and the bee do not know they can't fly.

I like the statement about the bumblebee. I have a sampler on my kitchen wall, have had it for over thirty years.
It states: "According to recognized aerodynamic tests, the bumblebee cannot fly because of the shape and the weight of his body in relation to the total wing area. But the bumblebee doesn't know this, so he goes ahead and flies anyway".
Reminds me of how the left views President Bush, According to them he knows nothing, can't speak well, doesn't understand foreign affairs, the economy and much of anything else but he doesn't know this he just goes ahead and gets IMPORTANT things done and what he hasn't accomplished he brings to our attention and the debate is on.

Actually Stewart said something to the effect that it looks like Bush was right.

Could be trouble in Lebanon. The question is whether Syria will back down and back out, or if they are holding out for their cousins and friends in Iran to get nuclear. Being nuclear won't help them, of course, but a lot of unnecessary bloodshed could start without warning right there in Lebanon.

If more Americans thought like you we would still be paying taxes to the British.

It's funny to watch all these people have to eat their words.
I've never watched Stewart's show, but from what I've read on here, the guy is a real horse's behind.
