It's the beginning of the movie where Martin finds a job at a service station, pumping gas. There was a crazy sharp shooter firing at Steve Martin after picking him randomly in a phonebook. He kept missing Steve and hittting the oil cans. At first, Martin thinks the cans are defective because they spring leaks but soon realizes the sharp shooter is firing at him which prompts Steve's quick-witted response, "That man is angry at the oil cans. Stay away from the oil cans."
