This is scary, but quite possibly true.
It won't take long for global warming theory to be discredited--it is on the verge now. But the casualties of the green-weenies, through the banning of DDT for example, are already in the millions, more damage than the perversion of eugenics ever caused.
Uhh. Announcing that eugenics theories are wrong does not disprove them. Neither does the fact that attempts to implement them had disastrous real world consequences.
I have never heard a logical reason why humans could not be bred for desired characteristics just as other animals can.
I can come up with a great many reasons why I would personally oppose it on moral and religious grounds, but that is very different from saying that it cannot work.
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

And eugenics is just a subset of evolution.

Totalitarians used eugenics as an excuse for rascism and genocide...true, but that does not prove that humans cannot breed for desirable characteristics. Indeed, humans do just that. Women seek men with health, status, and income to provide for their offspring. Men seek healthy, young women with symmetrical features which indicate fewer genetic anomalies to be passed onto their offspring. It is also true that intelligent women limit the number of their children while low IQ women have trouble with judgement and birth control, ergo we are breeding more special ed candidates than is optimal. My sister is a special ed teacher and has a classroom full of the grandchildren of her original students. Of course, I don't think the government should be in the business of improving the herd. Time and catastrophe will insure the survival of the fittest.
