She is alive because the killed agent have covered her with his body.ummm....unlike tv and movies, where plywood buildings and bodies stop bullets, in reality a high powered rifle bullet would have killed her too....

Our story is we fired into the engine block, so my guess is it was shrapnel from the engine, which can take a very random course. And she was hit in the shoulder, not badly enough though.
