Yes. Its strange how photos can have an even deeper meaning if you happen to be in the right place at the right time.

The photographer just happened to be standing near one of the the US Katyn Memorials when the Towers came down..........Very powerful in the juxtapositioning of two chronologically-separated events that just happen to be dealing with the same subject matter.

I remember reading a book, about twenty years ago, that I had gotten in a used book store, about this.
The escape from the gulag in Siberia took place in 1940-1941, and there were, I think, six or seven involved. They walked all the way from around Lake Baikal through Mongolia, the Gobi Desert of western China, into the Himalayas, arriving into India about the same time as the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
A great book; I wish I had saved it, and even more, I wish I could remember the title.
