Excellent summary of what's wrong with the Dems.
That nicely summarizes the current evolution of the Democrat Party, having been commandeered by the radical Left.
Which is why we are turning to the Republican party. The dims have gone postal on America and all she stands for.
Good for you! I used to be a Dem, too, until they saw fit to run Clinton as Prez in '92. I'd been opposed to the Dems on several issues before then, but Clinton was the last straw. The Democrat Party of today is nothing like that of my parents.
This is good news. But Santa Fe is not known for its Republican voting habits. Does he have any kind of local following that could offset that in any future political campaigns?
I voted clinton twice. I must have had a double breakdown or something. I'm what is now referred to as a 9-11 Republican. We put country over party. The dims have turned into bottom feeders.
I live in Santa Fe. The world is truly changing if this happens here. As I tell my friends, there's more communists in Santa Fe than Republicans.
Maybe this is the true Bush coat tail effect.
Santa Fe, Berkley, Ann Arbor, Boulder, et al are in the same looney tune world and they can stay there.
You must have faith. Washington D.C. was a liberal Democratic heaven 20-30 years ago.
I've seen this fellow. He was one of the warm up speakers at a Bush rally in Albuquerque, and he looked every bit the Santa Fe greying ponytail lib, but he definitely communicated that his party had left him and put ideology before security and love of country. He got a good round of applause. Plus, when Brooks and Dunn were playing he and his wife were seriously boogying in the stands! He gets it.
You ought to add the NM flag to your profile page, that way you can keep up with the state board too. :)
Good news bump...
Pony tail, eh? Well, I used to have one back in the day.
Who'ss the current mayor?
Good man! Sounds like what living in Santa Monica in the '80s did to me. Or, I should say, FOR me.
Congratulations Councilor Pfeffer, welcome to the party of ideas!
Yes, and more honor, decency, truthfulness, liberalism, morality, and respect for freedom, justice, the American Dream, and the United States. (Note tagline.)
Welcome to the DARKSIDE Mr. Pfeiffer.
Good for you that you saw the light. It actually (can't believe I'm saying this) saddens me the Democrats have gone off the cliff. America is stronger with a good two party system, which we don't have now. John Glenn, Joe Lieberman, and Zell Miller stood for different things than I have, but always stood first for America which I completely respected. I believe that Howard Dean stands for nothing I do, and I seriously doubt his views on America and her path for the 21st century.

In 1971 I returned to Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, Calif., aftet the service. My American Studies prof was in his 40s, and sported long, grey hair.
Turns out he was a long time Orange County Republican, but did the long hair thing, to sort of "spoof" people.
ie. He was walking evidence "don't judge a bok by its cover."
Outstanding professor, too. After WWII he drove a bus from Camp Pendleton to Costa Mesa, taking Marines to college. Something like that.
He decided since he was waiting all day, for the return drive, he'd start taking classes, too.
