I doubt that the truth will ever see the light of day out of such a morass of lies and our soldiers will pay the price. I disagree. As President Bush promised, an investigation will be conducted and the results will be available to all. It is too important for our friend, Berlusconi, politically. I hope we invite Italian representation on the investigation, at the very least as observers.

Again, you are the voice of reason. I certainly hope that is the case. I'm sure there are methods for determining the speed of the vehicle and whether or not is was slowing in response to the soldiers' warnings. I do hope that President Bush also demands that Berlusconi explain and justify the actions of his people. I suppose I've become overly cynical as this conflict unfolds, but we typically do not press an issue and end up with all the blame.
