I don't know, since I'm quite cynical.

AARP is an IRS designated "Not for profit" corporation, which of course, means that they pay no taxes.

As such, they are partly subsidized by you, the taxpayer, and this seems to be a common element in all these progressive, socialist companies (AARP, PBS, NPR, ACLU):

Use our money to further their agenda to change America.

Which communist was it that said "We will hang Capitalism"
When asked where they would get the rope, he replied,

Huh? Didn't you mean, "Rome didn't fall in a day".
(which I believe would be more analogous to eventually bringing down AARP as a lobbying 'powerhouse')
