Should be "Defying" and "Odds". Sorry about that.

I'm confused. Why was this added to the headline? Did this child die? I've read a few of the posts and so far everyone is indicating that the child is alive. I'm praying that is true, but am confused by what was in the parenthesis. :)
Oh nevermind. I see that this was an old article that I hadn't seen before. I'll be sure to check the date next time. :)
