The United States Constitution was proclaimed and ratified by the People of the United States. The Islamic Republic of Iran governs with authority granted by Allah, as revealed to Mohammed (pbuh). The former Soviet Union Constitution was issued by the revolutionary vanguard of the peasants and workers, manifested by the CPSU.
What is the corresponding entity or entities that issues this Constitution?
And, more importantly, by what right do they rule? All three of the above cited states can (or could) answer this question in a single word (the People; Allah; the Party).
What about the EU?
Very good questions. I know these things are coming out of Brussels, but who are the personalities? How do they stay in the shadow, and why? Who will be in charge of this new arrangements? Will elections be held? What will the new EUs ability to tax? Will taxes be the same for all provinces? What will the receipts be used for? Will there be wealth transfers from wealthy countries to poor?
Not expecting an answer, just raising some questions off the top of my head.
The bureaucrats (or in socialist-speak--the "nomenklatura"). And make no mistake about it, the like-thinking groups in the USA have exactly the same end-goal in mind for us--a new form of government---"constitutional fascism".
Which one? Each premier rewrote the constitution.
