As far as I'm concerned, Joe Galloway is out of his league when it comes to Jihadist terrorist Islam. (I respect his military record)

Galloway doesn't have a military record, per se. That said he's probably seen more action than most who wear or have worn the uniform, save perhaps a few surviving WW-II or Korean War vets.

He's the reporter portrayed by Barry Pepper (who also played the left handed Ranger sniper in Saving Private Ryan in the movie version of We Were Soldiers Once, And Young. He was also coauthor, with Lt. Gen. Hal Moore, of the book upon which the movie was based.

Thanks for the information. I got mentally lazy, associated him with Ia Drang and automatically assumed he saw combat there and turned into a reporter later.

"We Were Soldiers Once...and Young" ..... I could only watch 20 minutes of it seeing fine young Americans entering an ambush. I'll watch it some day
