Republican media adviser R. Gregory Stevens, who recently served as co-chairman of the Bush/Cheney Entertainment Task Force, was found dead Saturday in the Hollywood home of actress Carrie Fisher. "He passed away here, and in a place where he was loved," Miss Fisher said yesterday from her home in Los Angeles. Mr. Stevens, 42, was scheduled to attend the Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night and was staying with Miss Fisher at the time of his death. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office said yesterday that the cause of death was unknown, pending results of toxicology tests.

Seriously, though, that's a real shame. I didn't know of Mr. Stevens, but he was a brave man to operate in the heart of Hollywood. RIP.

Carrie Fisher??... as in... sounds so familiar
I searched, but my source had to throw in a slightly different title and it didn't pick up the other thread. :(
Well, it serves me right. As ashamed as I am to admit it, I just posted this to get in the gag about the chain. :p
Princess Leia. And, the wife in the 'burbs. I like the 'burbs.
Princess Leia! NOOOOOOO.....!!!!!!!!!!
The 'Burbs is a great movie.
"Ray. Ray! You're chanting, Ray!"
. . .
"Art, your wife is home."
"My wife is home!?"
Didn't thetre used to be a weekend talk show host on KRLD at night named Rastus?
I don't rightly know!
I'm pinging you to this because this guy used to work for Haley's firm in DC. He is quoted in the article. Haley, that is.
Thank you for thinking of me.
Has Haley issued a statement?
Has Haley issued a statement
other than in this article?
I guess I am trying to learn more.
Never heard of the young man.
May his soul rest in peace.
SW related ping
I read this and it occurs to me that Fisher really runs in eclectic circles.
I haven't read anything else. I don't usually have time on the weekends to read much. I had never heard of the guy either. I was talking to hubby about this, and we were wondering why there are no toxicology reports yet. Of course, there may very well be, but we haven't exactly been looking.
I was always under the impression until recently that Carrie Fisher was a Reagan Republican. I'm not sure where I got that idea.
Carrie "might" have mentioned that during
one of her interviews with O'Reilly.
Did she? I don't watch O'Reilly. He gets on my nerves something awful. I don't know why anyone would willingly go on his show either. :)
