SANTA MARIA, Calif. — Step with me inside Michael Jackson's bachelor pad — a glorious universe populated by naked cherubs and SpongeBob SquarePants, by Spider-Man and Star Wars and Elizabeth Taylor. Now step, if you will, down Jacko's secret staircase, and take a peek at the most intimate reaches of the reclusive freak's inner sanctum. But before you enter Jacko's private realm, remember the cardinal rule at Camp Neverland:
No chicks allowed!
This is a boys club.
The courtroom was taken on a guided tour of Neverland yesterday, the spectacularly glitzy ranch and alleged all-male seduction palace that Jackson proudly calls home.
On the witness stand yesterday we met a shy young lady of 18, the older sister of the cancer-stricken boy whom Jacko is accused of intoxicating, molesting and giving girly porn.
While the prosecutor narrated, we took a videotaped tour of Neverland in all its splendid, tacky glory. First, we strolled through the entry lobby, featuring marble statues of naked boy angels, dancing.
Naked busts of women lined the hallway, too. But wouldn't you know it? They had no heads.
One room was crammed with every doll invented. Another was filled to the ceiling with toys.
And then — for the first time ever — we saw it. Michael Jackson's bed.
The bedroom, subject of so much attention, turns out to be a small, dark and crowded place that can be reached only by a hidden staircase.
As the sister testified, this male-only playland is protected by a security system that can be opened only by punching in a code.
"Did you have the code?" prosecutor Tom Sneddon asked. "No," she said.
One night, this young lady followed her two little brothers, who apparently knew the code, up the stairs into Jacko's lair.

I don't care what kind of childhood he had, this boy needs to do some serious time for what he is doing to little 'boys' minds.
If this freak was Joe Average child molester, he would have been in jail a long time ago.

Well, as long as Peyser maintains her "professional journalist" stance (cool, objective, non-judgemental, reporting just the facts) I guess there's nothing else to say...

Incidentally, I haven't read about it yet, but heard some defense attorney on Fox this morning insisting to the skies that some video (the family looking comfortable talking to Jackson, I gathered) completely and totally vindicated the defense. Defense attorneys--ya gotta laugh.
Keep looking away from the facts she did present so you can ignore reality.

If I was the dad, I would have gone to jail for shooting Jack-off in the testicles, then the chest.
There is no doubt that Jackson is a seriously creepy guy. On the other hand, being seriously creepy is not illegal. As to whether he actually engaged in any sort of sexual contact as the term is legally defined, however, I really don't know. Unfortunately, I'm not sure the current case will really answer that.
Accuser's Family Praises Jackson in Video
We had heard about this video already. It was made in the aftermath of the devastating Bashir documentary airing.
In that documentary we saw some of what Peyser refers to---including a very strange and very BIG mural of Jackson surrounded by little cherubs. Also, when reading Deutsch's description (I stand by my recent criticism of her), keep in mind that the Bashir documentary showed Jackson holding hands with the boy like boyfriend/girlfriend--not a father with a child.
The guy is psychotic - creepy - and he needs to go directly to JAIL!!
Oh wow. I just got so lost. How did this witness follow her two little brothers up the secret stairs and then suddenly she saw Michael Jackson on the bed "surronded by her two brother..." I thought she testified that she had just followed her brothers up the secret stairs and they punched in the code. Then POOF these same brothers who she just followed up the stairs were suddenly surrounding Jackson in his mini-airstrip bed with Michael the Oneth and empty liquor bottles. This sounds more like an airhead book deal than a credible witness.

The production of the rebuttal video was designed to offset the bad publicity generated by a British documentary in which Jackson said he slept innocently with children. That video also showed Jackson and the boy who has accused him of sexual molestation holding hands.
The jury got its first glimpse of the mother, a key figure who is expected to testify. On the video she is seen directing the camera to make sure there are pictures of her holding her son's hand, an effort to offset the image in the British documentary.
This is exactly what I perceived the purpose of this video to be. I saw the Bashir documentary air, and as I noted up thread when I linked to the first article about today's introduction of this video, it immediately struck me that the emphasis given in the later video on depicting MJ as a father figure was meant to rehabilitate the (to me unmistakable) imagery that had been presented on tv via the Bashir piece.
My husband is a defense attorney, sometimes he doesn't even charge. Especially for people who are arrested in pro-life demonstrations and First and Second Amendment cases. This is a huge sacrifice to us personally and financially. But I apppreciate your faith in these kinds of "laughable" attorneys, regardless.
