Sometimes I think we love our little creatures more than islam loves its women and children.
Did you know mohammad was abandoned by his mother as a child? I often wonder if islam's hatred of women doesn't have it's roots right there. Woman hatred. Often stems from childhood experience. No loving, no nurturing in his background, no warmth, no affection. His uncle, who took charge of him died and left him an orphan. That's a very poor background upon which to establish a 'religion' - the man mohammad was trying to get even with a world that he believed had abandoned him. He was a misfit, an anarchist with no respect for the gods and the laws of his own people. There were many of his own followers who came to the conclusion he was mad; they called it jjin-possessed, and mohammad himself was afraid of the voices he heard in his head, he contemplated suicide several times. Mohammad doesn't need understanding as much as he needs analysis; that's what islam is most afraid of. That we will understand just who and what he was. I'll say it for the hundredth time, maybe the thousandth; read the biography. It's not sensational. It's simple. It tells the true story. And it uses ancient arabic sources that are irrefutable.
