You may dismiss the hadith - written about 200 years later as you say - by others with their own agenda, but the clerics do not.
I think (whoops, opinion!) it's time you established your own islamic prayer group. Before you know it, you could be an imam and have your very own mosque.
No kidding, islam needs a new movement, so don't sell yourself short.

LOL - I actually went into one in Singapore - Boring on the inside, not like the Cathederals or even the Hindu temples. I don't know if they would go for my "mandatory miniskirt on every woman under 30" rule, and my " No Fat Chicks " commandment.
