Possibly - OR the ones that reported that they were told these stories by Copts made them up, or didn't check them out.

Possibly - OR the stories of the details which did NOT come from official sources were false or exaggerated.

So either the "facts" regarding the muslim connection in this case were made up, or there is a massive conspiracy on the part of the NJ police to cover up the "truth" [49:6] O you who believe, if a wicked person brings any news to you, you shall first investigate, lest you commit injustice towards some people, out of ignorance, then become sorry and remorseful for what you have done.
