To: Mark in the Old South

I like Santorum too, but I think Mark has a valid point; Daschle paid for his miscalculations and I'm afraid Rick will too. I hope not, but I'm afraid that will be the case - and I'm sure Specter doesn't feel that he owes anyone, including Santorum, anything.

We missed an opportunity to put a genuine conservative into the Senate in place of Specter, but W and Santorum endorsed Specter as a pro-forma, [one-way] "party unity" move, which put him over the top. There's no doubt in my mind; I live in PA and I follow the politics here very closely. I was sick that we came so close and lost. I just hope the President pulls out all the stops to keep Santorum in.

That's all is was "a chance".

Tummey wasn't well known statewide.

Many of us couldn't take a chance on giving up the seat to the dems.

In hindsight I would have voted for Tummey but we don't have the luxury of hindsight and neither does Rick.

You're equating Rick endorsing a sitting Republican Senator with undermining the President's war effort???

Maybe we don't have a chance?
